The Oklahoma Road Show: Taking Encore Hospitality Carpet Home

There is something special about coming home.

After years of traveling across the country to work on projects, collaborate with partners, and tell the story of Encore Hospitality Carpet, I wanted to bring that same energy closer to my own roots. That is where the Oklahoma Road Show (OKRS) was born.

The idea was simple: spend real, intentional time crisscrossing my home state to meet with designers, architects, purchasing agents, and operators and talk about flooring solutions that make sense for the way they work. Not just sales calls. Conversations. Listening. Learning. Sharing what Encore can do to help bring projects to life.

It is part road trip, part design conversation, part love letter to Oklahoma.

Why the Road Show Matters

Hospitality projects rely on creating spaces people remember. It’s a little bit more than the right spec or right price. Encore has always been committed to design with depth — custom carpet that tells a story and running line options that meet timelines and budgets without sacrificing beauty or meaning.

The Road Show is my way of showing how those tools and that vision fit right here at home. It is about:

  • Listening first. Every stop starts with a conversation about what is working (and what is not) for flooring in hospitality spaces across Oklahoma.

  • Bringing the factory to you. From quick-turn running line collections to fully custom designs, I am sharing the possibilities Encore offers and how our vertically integrated process makes it easier.

  • Building relationships. Design is better when it is collaborative and local. This tour is about strengthening those connections.

Where the Road Has Taken Me

So far, the OKRS has wound its way from Tulsa through Northeast Oklahoma and on to Oklahoma City, with a few surprise stops along the way. Each visit has looked a little different — from quick coffee catch-ups with longtime partners to deep dives on upcoming projects to dropping off OKRS hats as a thank-you for the people making a difference in our industry here at home.

The best part has been the in-between: long stretches of Oklahoma highways, small-town cafés, playlists on repeat, and the unexpected stops that remind me why I love this state. Every mile has been fuel for new ideas and stronger relationships.

Swag with a Story

When I started planning the Oklahoma Road Show, I knew I wanted something tangible to mark the journey. The OKRS hats came out of that idea — a simple, bold design with “OKRS” stitched across the front in black. They are more than just swag; they are a small way to celebrate the spirit of this tour and the partnerships that make it meaningful.

Each hat I hand out is a thank-you — a reminder that this work is built on real relationships and shared creativity. Watching them leave my car and head to job sites, design studios, and meetings across the state has been one of the most rewarding surprises of the Road Show so far.

The reaction has been warm and genuine. Clients have laughed, snapped photos, and worn them proudly. A few have even asked for extras for their teams. It is a small gesture, but it has sparked connection in a way I had hoped it would: turning a simple road trip into a shared moment people want to be part of.

Design That Travels Home

Encore has always been about more than the surface you walk on. For me, design begins with story — how a floor can honor culture, welcome guests, and shape the feeling of a place. The Oklahoma Road Show is my way of bringing that vision back to where my own journey started.

This trip is about connection. It is about listening to the needs of designers, hoteliers, and builders across Oklahoma and finding ways to make their projects shine.

If you are in Tulsa, OKC, Ardmore, Lawton or anywhere in between and want to talk about your next project, I would love to stop by. Drop me a email!
