Every Layer Counts

I believe carpet is more than a surface

It’s a foundation for storytelling, sovereignty, and pride.

As a Seneca woman, I grew up watching my grandmother find her rhythm in the world—playing slots at “her” casino, feeding the family with points, and holding tight to what traditions she could. Though we didn’t speak the language fluently, pieces of it—mostly the swear words—snuck through. That sense of heritage, both fragmented and fierce, shaped who I am.

Today, I bring over a decade of experience in the commercial flooring industry and serve as Vice President of Gaming at Encore, as well as founder of AMJ Concepts—a Native American woman-owned agency representing design-forward, quality manufacturers. I specialize in tribal gaming and hospitality environments, partnering with designers, architects, and decision-makers to bring cultural intent into physical form.

I’ve laid out seaming diagrams on dusty job site floors at 2 a.m., had my heel glued back together by an installer mid-project, and spent years walking casinos not as a guest, but as someone making sure everything comes together behind the curtain. I fell in love with that brand of chaos—where beauty and logistics meet, and every decision holds weight.

Whether I’m consulting on design intent, ensuring minimal revenue disruption during installs, or advocating for representation in material selection, I lead with empathy, strategy, and a deep respect for tribal vision. Because when it comes to honoring legacy, every layer counts.

Stories That Honor Sovereignty

Design isn’t just visual — it’s a form of storytelling. I approach every project as a chance to reflect and honor tribal identity, ensuring that the spaces we build preserve culture, not erase it.

Respect Rooted in Culture

As a Seneca woman, I lead with deep respect for the values, traditions, and sovereignty of Indigenous nations. My work exists to protect these narratives — never to dilute them — and to bring them forward with integrity.

Precision Meets People-First Process

From the job site to the boardroom, I’ve lived every side of this work. I bring a calm, strategic approach that blends operational know-how with empathy — keeping things moving while keeping people at the center.

Partnership Over Performance

I believe in advocacy over ego. I listen first, collaborate deeply, and show up as a true partner. Success, to me, is shared — and built on trust, not spotlight.
